Lush for me is an experience i think me and my friends enjoyed more than most. After 'Paradise lost' in belfast collapsed, and we turned of age... lush was the place to go. 60 miles from home, Lush was worth every mile of travel. If you go in the summer, leave early on saturday morning! Visit the east strand beach, or nearby portstewart drive-on beach, have a swim, go shopping, have a kfc. Then... the fun begins, book a b&b or hotel within walking distance of kellys, easy done, there are loads. "Who's got the funk! Who's got the funk!" yell the crowd incessantly week-in, week-out as they lap up the tunes at Lush on a Saturday. Resident dj at this weekly club is Col hamilton (played at Colours in Ibiza last year, several succesful visits to Sublime in Edinburgh and other nights around the UK), who lays down his own style of funky and deep house mixed with a bit of trance. You'll definitely hear the odd anthem thrown in, but you'll get one or two surprises as well. I do recall a spectacular mix of Alanis Morisette and one of Reef. This club is well worth a visit if you're in the area. The crowd are up for it and the music is ... Read the complete review
