Advantages: Atmosphere, People, Col Hamilton

Disadvantages: Close's early , Small coat room, No free drink

Lush in its own right is an institution and is Northern Irelands if not Irelands premiere nighclub. Since its begining in 1996, Alan Simpson and Col Hamilton have turned it from a ordinary club into superclub status. And this is not just me hyping it up, most DJ's who play here reguard it as one of the Uk's best club nights, with recent praise being recieved by Seb Fontaine!

Saturdays are Lush! and the word "Lush" sums up this night but words aren't enough until you have experienced it! With only a capacity of 2000 you may be forgiven for thinking this is small, but what it lacks in size it whoely makes up for in atmosphere. The music is strickly house come techno come trance all mixed into one.

Inside the club the decor is up to the minute with a groundbreaking soundsystem and looks that many a nightclub would kill for. The club attracts people from all over Ireland and some even further. The women are beautiful and as for the guys well there alright to! For those not into a constant ear pounding there is a chill room and the Synk of to the side which is a funky area which plays allsorts-regulars include DJ Yoda!

Talking of regulars Lush! has had them all: Seaman, Morillo, Fat Boy Slim, Jules, Tong, Fontaine, but they just don't conform to the so called "superstar" Dj's as the likes of King Unique, Fuldner, and many other's provide nights that have been legendary and are remembered by all the Lush! faithful.

But of coarse none of tis legendary status wouldn't of been achieved without DJ and promotoer Col Hamilton. This man is a god as he raises the crowd up from a steady pace to a full on hedonistic journey which only he can do through his working of deep and prog. house.

If haven't ever been then make it a must do if you are ever in the area. Access is easy, there's even a chip inside it if you get hungry, not that you'll be able to drag urself from the dance f
loor. Long may it live!
