"Who's got the funk! Who's got the funk!" yell the crowd incessantly week-in, week-out as they lap up the tunes at Lush on a Saturday. Resident dj at this weekly club is Col hamilton (played at Colours in Ibiza last year, several succesful visits to Sublime in Edinburgh and other nights around the UK), who lays down his own style of funky and deep house mixed with a bit of trance. You'll definitely hear the odd anthem thrown in, but you'll get one or two surprises as well. I do recall a spectacular mix of Alanis Morisette and one of Reef.

This club is well worth a visit if you're in the area. The crowd are up for it and the music is wicked. it's well known for it's big guest names. Oakie and Seb Fontaine will have to pay rent if they appear more often than they already do, and Judge Jules is never out of the place. Dave Seaman had a wicked night and I do believe a certain Mr. Cox has played once or twice too.

Dress well, no trainers - the only real bummer about the place, apart from getting a taxi home which can be nigh on impossible at times. So dress up warm in winter.

The only other disappointing thing about Lush is that it almost always closes at 1.00-1.30am (but starts early!!)
