Advantages: Fantastic venue...

Disadvantages: Huge queues...

This venue is amazing! A converted church just a few minutes walk from Brixton... this club offers a totally emmersive environent for the clubber.

There are two dancefloors, one of which is a classic and is a must for any club-head. A huge square room with a high ceiling sets up some weird acoustics that at first are a bit unnerving, but after a few minutes you appreciate that the music has much more definition and depth than what you get used to in the usual low-ceilinged clubs of london.
This high ceiling also allows the club-owners to put on a much more visible set of video projections.

What really makes this square space fantastic, is the lower semi-circular dancefloor in front of the DJ box which itself is framed by two HUGE (and I mean massive) columns. This really gives the space a dramatic edge that I've not seen in any club before... wicked! The ballustrade around this lowered area allows you to chill out and watch all the ravers below, and to have a great view of what the dj and mc are up to. When my good mate ;) Marky was playing, you could see every crazy thing he did on the decks, and I can tell you it took me some time to pick my jaw off the floor!

My only gripe with this club is the door policy; I have always had to wait a LONG time to get in. This is largely due to the huge numbers of people that seem to be able to jump straight to the front of the queue. On one occassion, I had already given up getting into two clubs in central london due to the huge queues, and then we thought we'd give mass a shot.... after waiting for half-an-hour outside mass without moving an inch, we ended up going home! that was one crap night out! More a tour of London's public transport system!

Anyway, apart from this, the other areas of this club add to its status as a classic; the long spiral staircase that takes you up to the dancefloors, also doubles as a chillout zone on the upper floors. That's about it rea
lly...

-Simple layout but essentially perfect!

Great soundsystem and Visuals...

Just get there early to avoid the queues ;)
