There are lots of different types of places to go in Barnsley and to make things easy I made a list of some of the more well known:

CHE BAR / COCO: Choose from Cuban theme with chart music OR modern dance & R N B bar. (Entry £1-£3)
JOSEPH BRAMAHS: A wetherspoons - starter bar. Relaxed atmosphere with songs from all years (Entry Free)
ESCAPADE: Barnsleys only SUPERCLUB. 2 rooms and VIP lounge. Choose from dance and R N B or cheesy pop and chart toppers. Also includes theme nights and acts such as X FACTOR, CIRCUS, MAGICIANS, GATE CRASHER etc (Entry Free - £5)
WALKABOUT: Australian pub. starter bar. Relaxed atmosphere. Pool table. (Entry Free - £2)
BLA BAR: Chilled out bar. Does variety of cocktails. (Entry Free)
IGLOO: I have never been in here, but it boasts to do good deals on shots and cocktails. NEW.
WILDCATS: Stripper club, so again, never been in here.
EIGHTBAR: Relaxed club. Music from all years. starter bar. (Entry Free)
STEREO: Generally has under 25s in here. Music is dance, R N B, chart toppers. (Entry Free)
LUCORUM: Relaxed with cheap drinks. Plays rock music, chart toppers, oldies, anything. Sometimes has bands on. Cheap drinks. (Entry Free - £5)
VOUDOU: 3 floors. Music generally chart toppers, RNB, Dance. Can get really hot and sweaty. Sometimes has a BBQ. Expensive drinks. (Entry Free - £3)
BLUEROOM: Cheesy pop music. Cheap drinks. The whole room is BLUE. Never been in in as NEW but has heard generally good things.
BAR LOCO: Dance and RNB. Sometimes has BBQ. Again generally under 25s in here. (Entry Free)
ESMARELDAS / QUASIMODOS: 3 pubs - Esmareldas cheesy pop. Quasimodos rock. Belfry dance. Cheap drinks. Relaxed. (Entry Free)



Barnsley is very easy to navigate around. There are 3 main streets of nightclubs, and they all link onto one another, so you cant really get lost. All places are a 5/10 minute walk from bus / train station, and taxi rank.
