Advantages: Good value, funny
Disadvantages: Food package wasn't great
Went here for the restaurant and comedy package, which at 30 quid a head turned out to be a pretty sweet deal, considering the Comedy Club on Deansgate offered a lesser deal at 47 bones. The restaurant food wouldn't exactly make it onto the Michelin star list, probably languishing somewhere in between Nando's and McDonalds, but it was worth eating. The show itself proved to be the value booster, as you are whisked away after your meal to quite an intimate setting where comedians can get really close up to really take the p*ss out of you. Especially if you're ugly or from Burnley. There are 3 acts in total, at least usually, and each set is about half an hour long.
There is a bar conveniently situated in the comedy room itself, which sells pitchers of San Miguel for a good price and you can still be tuned in to the comedy whilst you buy in the next round.
I went for my birthday with a bunch of mates, and i think it is definitely a good idea for those barren of what to do on such days. Three girls came and they enjoyed it every bit as much as the lads as well.
Summary: A great night out
