Advantages: Girls! Closing time!

Disadvantages: Expensive drink.

Well, Paradise lost for me... was in the late 90's. When 'Keep it real' with davy cash was all the rage. on a friday night, there was NOWHWERE else to go. As a young lad there was everythin u could ask for.... A train station right at the door (drinking was legal on the train at the time lol), and a nightlink bus at half 2, half an hour after the place closed. Of course the bus time changed at some time in 1999 i think, so u had to get out before closing but still was no prob to walk to city hall.

The girls were fantastic, i met many friends and girlfriends for first time in paradise lost... davy cash had the best selection of new dance/trance music that no one else in belfast had the balls to play... new progressive and pumping beats were what young people wanted on a friday night. for me and my mates, the weekend started at paradise lost. Cheap travel to and from, and a few young girls to bring back with u to the after-house party. These are only memorys now, but still greatly appreciated as the quality of club does not exist anymore in the belfast area. The last time I recall being there was at a birthday special featuring matt hardwick... and one of the best nights of my life, a party not to be forgotten, packed to the roof with people and non stop great music.
But one day davy cash moved 'keep it real' it all to the orpheus... we never went. and that was the death of paradise lost. It has changed ts name to the elephant rooms and been through many types of gimmicks trying to get the crowds back in but they have all failed as far as i know. Even tho i do not know what happened or why, but when davy cash left and tried to take the crowds to the orpheus, i think alot didnt go.... it moved back to the europa later but didnt have the same loyal crowd and since collapsed... leaving the friday night open to amateurs and undesired guests. hence, the last time i was at paradise lost, i lived some of the best nights of my life with davy cash, modelle, lisa pinup, robbie nelson, farley jackmaster funk, matt hardwick, yomanda and the likes, i even kept a few flyers. If elephant rooms were to return to its original state of decent music on a friday night with a decent dj, i would be back! at 23 years old, id feel right at home!

Summary: Best nights of my life. Easy, fun and exciting.
