Advantages: Oh so many.................
Disadvantages: none
When I saw that Patsy's was on here I just had to write a review, at the same time I am rather sad as Patsy's actually ceased to exist about 5 years ago? Correct me if I'm wrong please.
I used to go to Patsy's with a group of (underage) friends on a Friday/Saturday night, occasionally after going to the ice rink (so cool) or from the Royal Squadron in Ryde, blagging our way in with fake ID, or not as the bouncers didn't really seem to care that we were only 16. Through the set of double doors and you were in the main 'club area'. This consisted of dance floor - 2 decent sized bars, and plenty of seating. The décor was dark - I still remember the sweat running down the black? Glittery walls and mirrors! Then off to the bar to get our drinks which I believe were bottles of Woodys at the time - I seem to remember some kind of strawberry/melon concoction, sticky and sickly sweet, maybe followed by Tequila. In the main bar it was usually dance music unless on the odd occasion they had an event or band on.
In the smaller back bar there was a smaller dance floor, the bar, I seem to remember, was tiny and this was where the 'alternative' music was played and where we spent most of out time moshing along to some fab music.
Thinking about Patsy's really takes me back to my youth, the drunken nights, old friends and just generally celebrating being young.
Bring back Patsy's I say........who's with me??
Summary: Fab night club from my misspent youth!!
