We started going to peach a couple of years ago . I've got to be honest , that it's changed a bit since then but the atmosphere has stayed pretty much the same and the guys have stuck to a winning Friday night formula formula . Now 3 years on we're still going !

Peach is an absolutley blinding night and make no mistake . It's a guaranteed stonker and you can pretty much be safe in the bet that any of your mates you drag along will love it . Camden Palace is a good venue , a gutted out theatre that would make you think that it's been designed to eventually become a 1,500 capacity club .

Peach is pretty jammed on most nights now and if you're going to get in you're going to have to be willing to que ( if you're a minion like most of us ) . It's £9 to get in before 11 and £12 thereafter . Getting in before 11 usually involves getting there before 10 to start queing but the venue really gets good about 1am .

Also worth a mention is Andy - the geezer outside every week who sells glo-sticks and other mad stuff ( glo-sticks are £2 each ) . This is known to mates as 'the glow stick tax' as it's an essential part of your night out !

Inside after you've dropped off your coat you can expect a nearly religious experience walking into the club . A long tunnel akin to the tunnel to the footy pitch awaits but instead of arriving in the stadium surrounded by cheers you'll find yourself surrounded by laser lights and pumping house music .

Resident Graham Gold and chums never fail to deliver an excellent set ranging between progressive cuts to bleepy trance . The sound system is good .. but not amazing , lights inside are blinding with plenty of strobes and lasers cutting shapes in the smoke and a screen with trippy wireframe displays they drag out occasionally .

For the garage men & ladies there's a small garage room upstairs although we've been turned away due
to VIP parties without notice - so check before you get in . I'm not really into garage but from passing thru' you're likely to hear rough sounding underground bassy garage rather than your usual pub background pop .

The crowd down there are for the most of it exceptionally friendly and totally mad , there's a complete cross section of clubbers from all age groups . You've got to respect the complete lack of any dress code required to get in .. unlike other london clubs of the minute . In fact don't be put off if you see people dressed up in lab coats , boiler suits , themed outfits or just their underwear .

There's only a couple of things I'd note - camden has got more and more popular so get there early . Also if you're a strong anti drugs campaigner then the number of people inside going 'pills mate?' is likely to wind you up pretty quickly . The bouncers could probably use a couple of days looking after old folks as they are nutters . Still stick on their good side and you'll be fine . People I've gone with have noted that the search on the door is also quite thorough ... don't go along trollied or you'll probably laugh in the face of a doorman .

Drinks inside are expensive - £3.50 for bottles . £2.20 for a bottle of water and £3 for a can of red bull . There's no free water available but most people buy bottles and fill them up from washbasins in the toilets.

If you visit regularly it's worth getting a membership card for £10 . It lets you skip the queue and also admit one guest , you also get to pay £9 all night and also get random mailshots and freebies .
