Po Na Na Soul Bar (Manchester)

Every Po na na is different. They are technically chain bars, but you would never guess. The one in Manchester is possibly the best bar/club I have ever been to - for a myriad of reasons. Principally, though, it is the most chilled, intimate, relaxing and original bar you will ever visit. Some people don't really like it. I sometime use it as a kind of test on my new friends. Having never been to a Po Na Na's before I didn't know what to expect but my mates assured me it was dope and I wasn't disappointed. Couple of quid in and the drinks aren't that cheap, but who cares if you have a good time and that you are guaranteed. The music is house/funk, no chance of people just standing around, you gotta have a party. The most refreshing thing was the mix of people.
