Advantages: Reasonably priced drinks during the week, good memorable music!

Disadvantages: Can get very hot, with older men bumping into you!

Reflex is situated in the city centre of Plymouth - on the corner of what is known as "the strip". This is called "The strip" because it hosts bars and clubs in a strip otherwise known as Union Street. It is prime location if you want to stay here for the whole night or if you want to pop in before/after another place - which adds variation to your night and differing music.

I have been to Reflex many a time, never out of choice but instead fancying a different kind of night out. It technically only has one floor, but sometimes they open up a linking door where you can venture upstairs which is known as "Flares." I find the music quite unique in Reflex because it is typical 1980s music, occasionally they will play early 1990s stuff but that is few and far between. Because it is so specific music wise you get quite a few of the "older" generation. I use this word lightly! As a 23 yr old girl, i often find myself, when i go there, surrounded by people in their early 50's. One thing i really like about this club is the revolving platform - it is only tiny, but it gives you a little laugh after a few drinks dancing to David Hassleholf! Overall the club can get a little bit hot and at times you can have older people dancing quite close to you and the doorstaff are too far away to help. Another thing i do not like is the toilets are at the back of the club quite far away from the door - for some reason I am not sure I like that.

Drink prices can vary here, sometimes I seem to pay £1.50 for a vodka and coke, sometimes nearer £4?!! Although generally sunday to thursday they have special prices where most drinks are under £2! Such as a bottle of becks, VK Blue and double vodka and red bull is £1.99!!

Go here if you want something different from the norm, and love 80's music!

Don't go here if you can't stand 80's music - as this is all it plays!

Summary: I rated this 3 stars because although I like the 80's music, I do like variation
