Unfortunately, due to the fact that garage nights at the venue generally ended in bloodshed, Rico's is no more. It's a shame because it was a lovely little venue and I hope to see it return as something else in the future.

The actual night in question was really good, with the middle room filling up first playing dub, hip hop and breaks. More of a drinking room there was a pool table also and on a good night this would be teeming with beautiful students.
The front room played old school house tracks and the back room old soul classics. It was good messy fun for people who didn't want the weekend to end....
For a similar kind of old school vibe try Decadence in Broad St Wolverhampton on a Friday or Bedroom just over the road on a Saturday.

As I said, it would be good if Rico's was available again.. p.s. this op has to be very useful cos otherwise you might turn up and realise the venue you're looking for is the one with the boarded up windows!
