Advantages: Good crowd, Out in the sticks

Disadvantages: Out in the sticks

If you really like your hard/progressive house/trance then you will love this place. The rush of euphoria i got the first time i went was phenomenal, and drove me back there again.

You arrive at the location after crossing the M62 on a narrow private bridge and down a country road, it feels like you going to an unknown rave or something. This location is great though as it means you dont get any of the lager lads falling out of the pubs which would if in an urban location. Its held in a hall hidden in the trees just visible from the car park where there is already an atmosphere building as clubbers meet up with other clubbers. There is nothing special in the decor of this club, in fact parts of look kinda shabby, but we are not there for an edition of Changing Rooms are we.

Walking in through the entrance brings you in to the upstairs room where it tends to be a bit less busy than downstairs, but still quality music bangs out. The main event happens down a narrow staircase, which can get a bit congested, in a frenzied room of mayhem. The crowd which go really appreciate their music and they show it urging the dj on, a few glowsticks in the air, cyberkids uv gear glowing around you, this room is pumped. At the end of the room is a chill out area with a nice double bed!, chairs and the like where the casualties of the night and those getting a breather all pack in and chat (most likely gibberish but it is friendly gibberish), gurn, y'kno the score.

In short for this night - i love, they love it, we all love it, and so will you!

just to let you know that goodgreef is now held at Ascension which is in the centre of Manchester, easier to get to, a bit more expensive unless your a member £10/8 and a lot busier - actually wise to get your tickets in advance

firstly thanks for making me your first comment you have made, altho i dont appreciate been called a c**t, and i will be interested to see what nights you rate.

i would also be interested to know which night you went on to be honest because i have been to most of the ones in the last year and have never experienced it full of schoolkids, i wish they did field trips like that when i was at school if thats the case!!! :-p

i know for a fact that there are people who travel for miles across the country to go to this event. as with everywhere you will get the few beer boy randoms, and i have seen trouble on only one occasion in the time that i have been going between these 'types', but this is far, far less than any regular club that you mention
