Tall Trees Country Club (Cleveland)Newest Review: ... The hotel seems to have begun in the 1960s or 1970s, but its quite hard to date it as there is no discernable style. The buildings are two or three storey throughout. The front of the hotel has a Grecian appearance, with huge 3 storey high white columns, but to me this just seemed a bit fur coat and no knickers, there is no hidding its a standard hotel not a mansion. There are no green ... more |

My review comes from a very different angle, as I have never been to the club which is attached to Tall Trees Hotel and Country Club, and never intend to. However we have gone and had a thorough look around recently with consideration to booking it as a wedding reception venue. ~Location~ Tall Trees is located to the south of Yarm, in open countryside. Getting through Yarm between 8.30and 10am, and to a greater extent 3.30pm and 6pm is generally a nightmare, so something to bare in mind for guests arriving from the north between these hours. On the same site as the Hotel and Country Club is Club M@Tall Trees, which these are about 300m apart the ... Read the complete review

I'm a Tall Trees regular so thought I'd share my opinion's with you all. I've been attending the Friday night £15 all-u-can-drink now for over 2 years on an almost weekly basis. I also attend most of the monthly "Retro" events. Not being a big clubber, I won't be able to give you lots of details regarding the style of music. Right. Friday night, as mentioned, is £15 all-u-can-drink. This is for "strictly" over 20s, but I was going when I was 16-17, and there are many "young 'uns" in attendance. This is usually a very busy night, although is considerably quieter on the Friday nights before ... Read the complete review

As soon as I came to Leeds I started to hear about a club called Tall Trees ‘up north’ somewhere near Middlesborough, being from the south I didn’t think you could actually get any more north than Leeds, but apparently you could, and apparently it was actually worth the effort to journey to what must be very close to the North pole just to have a decent night out. Well, having heard about it’s legendary reputation and a brief description of the club (it’s massive, the capacity is over 3,000, it’s just unbelievable) I thought I just had to go, and I wasn’t going to let anything stand in my way. So, two and a half years ... Read the complete review

Tall Trees is generally recognised as one of the north's heavyweight clubs and last Friday night reminded me exactly why that is. With hardly an queue to wrestle through, there is an even greater degree of satisfaction when you are told that the entrance fee of £17.50 (sometimes £23) covers the cost of your drinks for the night. This is only the case on a Friday night however, which would explain why it is the most popular night. Tall Trees comes with a very respectable reputation and so it is able to attract top DJs ensuring good music on every visit. On the five occassions that I have been I have never gone home disappointed even though the music was ... Read the complete review

The best thing about Club M, the name for the nightclub at Tall Trees, is that it is a good night out for all kinds of clubber. For the 'soft' clubber there is the 70s room. This itself is the size of a nightclub on its own, playing a variety of music and with dancers on the stage. The hardcore clubbing half is even bigger. This is always packed and usually has at least one good dj, last time I was there Judge Jules and Sonique both DJd on the same night! However, if you want a drink I suggest you pay a visit to the 70s room to avoid queuing. Drinks are reasonably priced, 2.30 for a tequila slammer complete with salt and lemon, and entrance is a tenner. ... Read the complete review
