Tall Trees is generally recognised as one of the north's heavyweight clubs and last Friday night reminded me exactly why that is. With hardly an queue to wrestle through, there is an even greater degree of satisfaction when you are told that the entrance fee of £17.50 (sometimes £23) covers the cost of your drinks for the night. This is only the case on a Friday night however, which would explain why it is the most popular night.
Tall Trees comes with a very respectable reputation and so it is able to attract top DJs ensuring good music on every visit. On the five occassions that I have been I have never gone home disappointed even though the music was somewhat different every time. There is also a high level of variety provided mainly by the more relaxed 70's room and the size of the club on a whole.
Being a massive club of course means that it is also filled with top totty wearing as little clothing as is legal. This means that you don't have to be an avid clubber to pay Tall Trees a visit, but just a horny lad on the pull. The extra incentive is the availability of reasonably priced hotel rooms provided by the club itself, so if you pull, you really do pull.
One bad point about the club is that it is situated virtually in the middle of nowhere, meaning that if you're not staying in the hotel then it means a costly taxi home. However this can be avoided by getting together a large group of people and hiring a bus, or even driving and sleeping in the car for the night (it's worth it).
I wouldn't rank Tall Trees as high as clubs like Cream or Gatecrasher, but it is still a top night out that'll leave you surprised as to how much money you've got left in the morning. Definitely worth a visit!
