We booked the Adonis Cabaret Show as part of my friends hen do in Brighton, 8th September 2012. I have decided to write this review today whilst the experience is fresh in my memory.
We had pre-booked tickets to the show, which was held at Oceana on Brighton sea front, you do need to pre-book as they do not accept payment on the door as each show sells out anyway. This was booked as part of a hen party package and cost £30 per person. We arrived at 7pm as stated on the tickets and queued for approximately fifteen minutes whilst being entertained by the drag queen 'Candy' in the queue.
We entered the building and we were greeted by a nice smiley, hunky guy who gave us our free cocktail vouchers, he even chucked in a couple free as we made him laugh. We were then showed into the main showroom and we took our seats in the middle of the room. The seats have an aisle down the middle of them for easier access but also for the stippers to interact with the crowd.
Once we had our seats we needed to claim our cocktails at the bar as these had to be claimed before the show started. There was also a buffet included in the price, the food wasn't bad, typical buffet food but it was nice to have a bite to eat before we started drinking.
We settled down with our food and drinks and we were welcomed by 'Candy' who did a song and got the crowd laughing and warmed up. Candy then swiftly introduced the four 'boys' on stage and they proceeded to dance / strip wearing fireman uniforms. The routine was over quite quickly but this was just the taster. Each guy was then called up to perform their own routines to the cheering / screaming crowd of women and a handful of gay men.
In between each act Candy came up to tell a few jokes, perform a song and introduce the next act. There were about 3 breaks in total to be able to go to the bar, go for a cigarette or for a toilet break. These were welcomed as we finished our drinks quite quickly.
Each act was brilliant, they all had very different routines such as Superman, Army soldier, Drummer etc. The drummer was particularly impressive as this was all done in the dark with glow paint and was really effective! There was lots of interaction with the crowd with the boys walking and dancing down the aisles, the girls were rubbing their baby-oiled chests and licking squirty cream off their chests! The acts also occasionally picked out girls from the crowd and performed a routine on stage with them.
Candy then came out and asked all the 'hens' and birthday girls to come up on stage, two of the boys were sat on chairs on stage and the girls had to perform a 30 second sexy dance for them - I was so glad I didn't have to do this I would have been mortified!
They also held a raffle in the middle of the show to raise money for Help for Heroes and McMillan Cancer Nurses which was good, I was disappointed that we didn't get to hear the total raised though. The prizes were a baseball cap, t-shirt and sash, our friend the hen was given these for being the hen anyway.
The boys were all lovely and good looking, I was worried they wouldn't be that attractive but the girls were all very pleased! Photo's were taken by photographers throughout the night as we were not allowed to take our own, they were then uploaded to the website on the Monday after for us all to see and download which is great as they didn't try to make more money out of us for this. At the end each group had their photo taken with the boys so we all had that to look forward to seeing on the Monday. We were also handed a 2012 calendar on arrival to keep which was a nice touch but it would have been better if it was 2013!!
Overall we had an absolutely brilliant night, the boys were nice, the acts were great and the drinks were not too pricey. I'd fully recommend the Adonis Cabaret Show and we'd all go again at the drop of a hat!
Thanks for reading
ADONIS CABARET BRIGHTON AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I was so amzed. we were greeted by a very striking pleasant young man on stilts who put me at ease. I suffer panic attacks and his welcoming smile and kindness made be feel at ease. We had our piccys taken pap stylie , and we loved it. And LOTS !!!!!!!!
We were then escourted to our seats and our cocktail reception. And then we got to fill our boots on what I can only describe as a top of the range buffett. there were lovely breaded prawns and proper potato salad. Having a fussy Veggie as a pal can some times be difficult but Susie was in her element as she could feast on veggie sausage rolls , pizza , nibbles , bites , salads to mention but a few. And you can eat as much as you like in fact you are encouraged to fill yourself. and to be honest you really want to as it is all well presented and so tasty.
The show then kicked off with an amazing drag act , who has restored my faith as she was caring to those who seemed shy but on the ball for the more entertaining ladies in the room. All birthday girls and hen's got pressies and the night was just top notch but wont say more as I dont wanna spoil what will be the best night.
We have already booked our tickets and hotel again for Brighton in 3 months purely to see these boys again.
thank you for what was the best evening in ages.
Lots of love Kay and the girls
The show was absolutely brilliant.Drew is hilarious we did not stop laughing. The boys were beyond gorgeous and their acts were fab.I would be more than happy to go again and am hoping to go to one of the other venues next time.We all had a fantastic time it was a top show and I would highly recommend it.Yes there were a few issues re calendars, photos and buffet and the pool wasnt open but the main man is looking into them and sorting it so no big deal - we went to see a male cabaret and strip show and that part was great - we didnt go out for a meal in a restaurant and I wasnt expecting a gourmet dinner etc so I couldnt really have asked for anything more ... well I could have but hey ;)
We went to the adonis cabaret show last night at the Aquarium nightclub, In Old Street, London and our advice would be to not waste your money on this awful place
The club was very dirty and the toilets were filthy, I don't think they have been cleaned in about 10 years. The food was unedible and we dare not eat it as again the club looked so dirty god only knows what the kitchen was like YUK! The show was not what we expected and was very sleezy, one guy made a girl lick cream off his private parts and another guy flicked cream off his private parts all over the audience which ruined one of our friend clothes. When the show had finished we left immediately and went into another bar even though we were offered to stay in the Aquarium for the rest of the night. Thank god the other bar we went on to was clean and nice and we managed to get some food there which saved our hen night from being ruined.
All in all a very bad experience and we will not recommend this to any friend or anyone else for that matter!!!
We went to Adonis for a friends hen night, i was a wee tad worried as im not into the whole stripper scene!!!Well do not be worried we had a great night and the staff are all amazing, would highly recomend this to anyone thinking about a hen might in Newcastle!!!!!Great night had by all! Thank you to all the staff at Newcastle for such a fab night.
For my hen do and a cabaret virgin i did not know what to expect. There are only positives starting with how welcome you feel, we sat down with our cocktails and waited for the show to start. The show was jam packed with a mix of cabaret, comedy, singing and of course the amazing male adonis stars. Thee was interaction with everyone there and not a dry eye in the place from start to finish.
The show was beyond words, non stop action that left the whole hen party screaming for more i could not have asked for a better experience or got one anywhere. The adonis cabaret is a must for all female parties who enjoy a non-smutty 100% jaw dropping show never to be forgotten. i will never forget the adonis cabaret and re-visit often with many people.
I also found the web page excellent fun to see the photos www.AdonisCabaret.co.uk
Top bananas! I knew I was not going to have a classy hen night, I mean what hen night is? I don't think its so much your last night of freedom - more your last night of cheesdom lol I expected Yates wine lodge, dinner at the usual suspects and clubbing with the girls .... BUT ... What a night !!
I was taken to the Brighton Adonis for my hen night, its at Ocean in Brighton, massive place, hailed as the newest UK super-club..
When we got round the corner of the road to the club there was a huge Q of hen nights all up the street (oh no!) but to be fair, 2 drag queens entertain the crowd and when you get to the red carpet paparazzi click away, you get interviewed and videoed by TV cameras and its all free on the web site to get the pix and you can have as many as you want. (see all ours here www.AdonisCabaret.co.uk but can't take your own pix though, boo)
More fun inside, sailors doing the guest list, bouncy seat usher, and funny videos on the screens while you have your free buffet and cocktails (make the most of the cocktails drinks are pricey)
Not long and the place is HEAVING ! got to be 500 people seated in this massive club, but there are about 50 toilets so not even a Q for the loo !
The show opens with the Drag queens, and unfolds into a huge party of singing and dancing, and strippers, and games and its a bit like a huge funny version of High impact nudey Butlins lol you have funny act and sexy acts and - I HAD TO GO ON STAGE Ahhhhhhhhhh !
but that was ok really, all the hens and Birthdays go on stage, and the drag queens make you play games and your friends take the micky- they are over the moon lol
Needless to say I lost my voice (I'd like it back please Adonis) the actual show is over 2 hours, but there is lots of stuff before on on stage and after you have your photos taken and meet the guys, again all free, you get them here www.hen-night.org (part of the main Adonis site)..
the nights not over its just begun, there are 7 rooms 5 dance floors 10's of bars and ............ the Adonis boys and drag queens come and have a smooch with you after!
tip from the top, don't get drunk to soon and have to go home early, you don't want to miss a thing !!
going back for my Birthday !

We went to this awful place and we still cant believe we paid 35 quid for a load of absolute rubbish. We feel completely ripped off, the buffet food was disgusting and that's being nice, the stripers were terrible in fact my dad looks better in a g-string, actually I think my dad is younger lol, the club is full of chavy girls fighting eachother and the show well if you can call it a show it was shocking. Myself and my friends feel really really let down as it was my friends special hen night which only happens once and we feel this show ruined the whole weekend. we did a cocktail making lesson in the daytime which was so much fun. my advice would be save your money a go and see something worth seeing and not some old saggy men taking there clothes off in front of chavs!!!
Well I went to Blackpool on my bosses hen do, we had decided to make a weekend of this we booked a package deal where on the Friday you got free entry into nightclubs and things, then on the Saturday night we had the Adonis show to go to, the tickets were in with our bed and breakfast deal. The price for our two-night stay in the bed and breakfast with our tickets for nightclubs and the cabaret show cost £111, which I thought, was a great bargain for a fantastic weekend. The tickets can be bought just for the cabaret show for £29 per person plus a booking fee of £1.20p per ticket. Although to be able to purchase tickets you do have to have a minimum party of at least 4.
The shows only run on a Saturday night starting at 7pm and lasts around 2 hours. The show runs in 5 locations, Newcastle, Blackpool, Brighton, London, and Bournemouth. Ok now on with the review of the show.
The opening of the show starts with the drag queen, this is a funny start to a great show, she tells jokes, sings and basically makes fun out of people in the audience. It really gets the crowd going. Then she introduces your first pair of strippers, these are 2 yummy men loll dressed up as monkeys, they go round the audience strutting their stuff, and grabbing people while cavorting with them. Also one cheeky monkey pinched my bag, although he did throw it back (glad I had nothing breakable in it). Throughout the monkey show though they do not strip off L. Then the drag queen returns with more jokes and a singsong. Then out come the firemen, all hosed up, they dance around the stage for a while and yes ladies eventually they strip. Leaving the crowd going wild loll. They do remain on stage during this part of the show.
Then out comes the drag queen for more songs and jokes. She does play a pretty big part of the show, but while the men get ready for the next act she keeps the crowd well entertained.
Then each of the 3 strippers do their own little show:
Navy Man: The stripper entered the stage dressed as a navy member. He danced round the stage before taking off his top and trousers, and dancing in just his underpants. Unfortunately no clothes are thrown off the stage for us all to fight over loll. He then went and got a member off the audience up on the stage laid her on the floor and started cavorting his bits in her face, remember he did still have his pants on loll. Then he spread loads of lotion over his body before finally revealing his private parts for a few seconds loll.
Police man: Now he was my favourite, something about them handcuffs loll. The acts all basically do the same dance around, and strip off, he got one person up on the stage again, handcuffed them up while dancing over her ect. Then he went out and got someone else up too. Hmm wish I had been one of them loll.
The matrix: Now this one was an exceptional dancer he was so flexible and did things you really did not think possible for a man to do. I will say the acts all do the same sort of thing but each with their own different style of dancing.
After the shows have played they get all the hens and birthday girls up on the stage, while they sit one of the strippers on a chair and blindfold him. All the lasses on the stage must then do a lap dance on him and he has to determine a winner who gets a free t-shirt. They all do end up getting one anyway while getting their photo taken with one of the other strippers.
The show then ends with all the strippers and the drag queen on stage dancing to time warp. The audience all have to stand up and join in with this. Then each group of people is called onto the stage to have a group picture taken with the strippers and the drag queen. Then you can all go to the nightclub downstairs and the strippers go there also to mingle with the crowd and you can get to talk to them.
On entering the show before it starts you get a free cocktail, this may not be to everyone's liking but you can always give it to a friend. I must have had about 3 of them loll. They also have a bar in there too, they don't sell pints though only bottles it cost me around £3 for a small bottle of Magners, needless to say I only bought one.
The show itself was really enjoyable, and so much fun to watch and also be involved. The strippers were very friendly too. Made you feel welcome and comfortable while making you laugh.
It is a show I would definitely recommend going to watch. You are guaranteed a good fun night. With a totally fun packed entertainment night that goes on till 3am. I cant even think of any disadvantages to this apart from you are not allowed to take your own pictures, although they do take pictures for you and add them to their website so you can still have the pictures that you want. Their website is http://adoniscabaret.co.uk/ On this site you can check out the pictures, book a show or just browse around, you can even join their fan club. I must point out though that each venue will be different types of shows so not all of them will have what I have described in my review.
Also on ciao under kineticspade x
Thank you so much for your kind reviews, the guys all work very hard to make it a party for everyone, we pick guys we are a good laugh on and off stage and I hope that shows..
The shows have been going for quite a few years now and Its good to know the changes are in the right places as peoples tastes and expectations change.
we are looking to open a bigger new club in Brighton for 2010 - Oceana in the city, this will be another class all together, I do hope we don't loose that intamacy we had with some of the smaller venues, but we needed to act on the feedback from others about the size of the old venue.
2010 will see new guys added to the show, Blackpool will be hosted by Thunderpussy, Bounemouth by Davina Sparkle, and Brighton will be hosted by the famous Dave Lynn .
if you get a chance log onto our face book group for special offers on opening nights.
ps we listen to all feedback, please let us know your thoughts, if we don't get it right you don't come back and we all go back to shelf stacking at Tescos x
One word can sum up the Adonis experience, and that is 'WOW'.
My sister organised a trip to the show in Blackpool for my hen weekend so my review is centred on the Blackpool experience.
Getting tickets for the show was very simple, you order online via their website; www.adoniscabaret.co.uk. Tickets for the Blackpool show cost £29 plus a £1.20 booking fee per ticket. They send you a ticket via email which you print out to gain entry on the night and one ticket admits the whole party.
The price includes:
- Entrance to the show
- Free cocktail on entry
- Buffet (including vegetarian options)
- Entry into club after the show
The show is held in Club Sanuk, which is on the North promenade, just past the North Pier and Metropole Hotel. Entry to the club is by the entrance on the main street, on entering, you are presented with a raffle ticket to claim your free cocktail and we were also given a free pocket calendar. The room where the show is held is up a couple of flights of stairs, which proved to be a bit difficult for the older members of our party as there were no lifts available.
The room was laid out theatre style with a small stage at the front, we arrive 30 minutes before the doors opened at 7pm to ensure that we got good seats. As it happens we were first in the queue and others arrived from around 6:45pm onwards. The show started at 8pm and in the mean time, a DJ was playing music, which was a bit loud and ensured that you couldn't really have a conversation beforehand.
The buffet was ready pretty much as soon as you got into the room and included a wide range of foods such as:
- Sausage rolls
- Pork pie
- Chicken wings
- Potato salad
There was plenty available and many didn't seem to be eating meaning that there was quite a lot left at the end of the night.
The bar in the room was quite small and there were only 2 people serving which meant that it took a while to get served before the show and during the break. Drinks were quite expensive, but the price is set by the club and not the show. It was around £3.50 for a bottle of beer/VK, £1.60 for a shot of corkeys and around £5 for a double spirit and mixer.
Now onto the show - It is hosted by a drag queen, ours was hilarious and had the best legs I have ever seen, he made a very convincing women. He did the normal kind of drag queen acts such as singing, dancing and telling jokes. He involved all the crowd and was pretty rude to members of the audience however, it was all in good jest and has us crying with laughter.
There were 3 strippers, at our show was Stuart Extreme, Double Impact and Black Stallion (Conrad Blissett of Britain's Got Talent fame - think silver hotpants!). They all did around 20 minutes and in that time they danced amongst the crowd, got hens up on stage and stripped down until they were wearing nothing but their birthday suit but it was all pretty tasteful. They had the hen's (including myself!) doing some pretty outrageous things on stage but nothing that they were not comfortable with and if you didn't want to participate you didn't have to.
The hens were also all invited up to perform a lap dance on one of the strippers who was blindfolded and had to pick a winner. All participants received a goody bag (containing a hat, sash and tshirt) and had their picture took with the stripper (which is uploaded onto their website).
At the end of the show, all groups were invited onto the stage to have their picture taken with the stripper and drag queen, which were then available to download from their website at no cost. Pictures were taken throughout the show and there are around 150 available to view, download and share from each show.
After the pictures have been taken, you get free entry into the club (normally costs £5 to get into Club Sanuk). Once we hit the dancefloor, we were given a free bottle of Champagne to round the night off.
Blackpool is not the only place they do the show, they also visit:
Prices vary for each place, Blackpool is one of the cheaper venue's.
It was one of the most enjoyable nights I have ever had, I have never laughed so much in my life, it was truly hilarious and the strippers were gorgeous to look at, and it didn't feel seedy at all. The youngest person in my party was 21, and the oldest nearly 80 and everyone had an amazing time. I would recommend it to anyone who is having a hen night, or an event with lots of fun loving females!
Sorry but this one is for the girls :)
I recently went on a hen night to Bournemouth and part of the hen night was to see the Adonis Cabaret show, now when I found out we where seeing this show I thought oh here we go some rubbish cheesy strip show but boy was I wrong.
I would have to say that this was by far the best hen night I have been on. We booked a package deal where we stayed in a B&B, got tickets to the show & entry to a night club after for £70 which I thought was a very good deal.
Now what can I say about the show apart from oh my god lol. Firstly the show is hosted by a drag queen (why do they always have such good legs), I was not really expecting much from the drag queen as I have seen some before who where terrible, but i have to say this drag queen was the best I have seen she was incredibly funny.
The act was the usual sort of stuff you expect from a drag queen, dancing, jokes and singing, I think what made her so good was she involved everyone in the act so when she/he was singing she/he taught everyone the chorus so everyone joined in, she involved the hens a lot to with games and prizes etc.
Now for the strippers, well well well what a fine selection of men. There where three strippers in this show and each of them danced once but the dances lasted for about 20 mins each, they all wore several layers of clothes each having a different theme so for example they would come on dressed as a fireman then strip down to a sailor suit then a tux etc etc.
The strippers would run around the crowd and dance with different women & the hens would get dragged up on stage to dance and play games with them, the show is very tastefully done and very enjoyable to watch. The show is full nudity so be warned.
Overall the whole show lasts for about 2 and half hours, you get a free drink on entry and a free buffet is also provided. We where expecting the drinks to cost a fortune but they where cheaper than my local pub, a round of sixteen drinks (vodkas, archers etc) was about £35.
Also at the end of the show they hold a raffle where you can win tshirts, hats etc and all of the moneyraised goes to Breast Cancer research.
They hold these shows in three locations, Bournemouth, Birmingham & London, you don't have to book the package deal you can just get tickets for the show. If you are planning a hen night then I definitely recommend this, its a fun night out that does not cost the earth.
