Advantages: Hilarious and gorgeous men

Disadvantages: Drinks prices

One word can sum up the Adonis experience, and that is 'WOW'.

My sister organised a trip to the show in Blackpool for my hen weekend so my review is centred on the Blackpool experience.

Getting tickets for the show was very simple, you order online via their website; www.adoniscabaret.co.uk. Tickets for the Blackpool show cost £29 plus a £1.20 booking fee per ticket. They send you a ticket via email which you print out to gain entry on the night and one ticket admits the whole party.

The price includes:

- Entrance to the show
- Free cocktail on entry
- Buffet (including vegetarian options)
- Entry into club after the show

The show is held in Club Sanuk, which is on the North promenade, just past the North Pier and Metropole Hotel. Entry to the club is by the entrance on the main street, on entering, you are presented with a raffle ticket to claim your free cocktail and we were also given a free pocket calendar. The room where the show is held is up a couple of flights of stairs, which proved to be a bit difficult for the older members of our party as there were no lifts available.

The room was laid out theatre style with a small stage at the front, we arrive 30 minutes before the doors opened at 7pm to ensure that we got good seats. As it happens we were first in the queue and others arrived from around 6:45pm onwards. The show started at 8pm and in the mean time, a DJ was playing music, which was a bit loud and ensured that you couldn't really have a conversation beforehand.

The buffet was ready pretty much as soon as you got into the room and included a wide range of foods such as:

- Quiche
- Sausage rolls
- Pork pie
- Pizza
- Chicken wings
- Pasta's
- Potato salad

There was plenty available and many didn't seem to be eating meaning that there was quite a lot left at the end of the night.

The bar in the room was quite small and there were only 2 people serving which meant that it took a while to get served before the show and during the break. Drinks were quite expensive, but the price is set by the club and not the show. It was around £3.50 for a bottle of beer/VK, £1.60 for a shot of corkeys and around £5 for a double spirit and mixer.

Now onto the show - It is hosted by a drag queen, ours was hilarious and had the best legs I have ever seen, he made a very convincing women. He did the normal kind of drag queen acts such as singing, dancing and telling jokes. He involved all the crowd and was pretty rude to members of the audience however, it was all in good jest and has us crying with laughter.

There were 3 strippers, at our show was Stuart Extreme, Double Impact and Black Stallion (Conrad Blissett of Britain's Got Talent fame - think silver hotpants!). They all did around 20 minutes and in that time they danced amongst the crowd, got hens up on stage and stripped down until they were wearing nothing but their birthday suit but it was all pretty tasteful. They had the hen's (including myself!) doing some pretty outrageous things on stage but nothing that they were not comfortable with and if you didn't want to participate you didn't have to.

The hens were also all invited up to perform a lap dance on one of the strippers who was blindfolded and had to pick a winner. All participants received a goody bag (containing a hat, sash and tshirt) and had their picture took with the stripper (which is uploaded onto their website).

At the end of the show, all groups were invited onto the stage to have their picture taken with the stripper and drag queen, which were then available to download from their website at no cost. Pictures were taken throughout the show and there are around 150 available to view, download and share from each show.

After the pictures have been taken, you get free entry into the club (normally costs £5 to get into Club Sanuk). Once we hit the dancefloor, we were given a free bottle of Champagne to round the night off.

Blackpool is not the only place they do the show, they also visit:

- Bournemouth
- Brighton
- London
- Newcastle

Prices vary for each place, Blackpool is one of the cheaper venue's.

It was one of the most enjoyable nights I have ever had, I have never laughed so much in my life, it was truly hilarious and the strippers were gorgeous to look at, and it didn't feel seedy at all. The youngest person in my party was 21, and the oldest nearly 80 and everyone had an amazing time. I would recommend it to anyone who is having a hen night, or an event with lots of fun loving females!

Summary: An amazing show for hen night heaven!
