Living in Buckinghamshire and always on the lookout for a varied and different night out I heard from friends that The Matrix was the place to go on a Saturday night. Now, to understand a bit about me you should know that I like hard house(amongst other things). The first time that I visited The Matrix was last year when they had a Miss Moneypennys guest night. Myself, my boyfriend and four mates piled into a minibus and proceeded to take the 11/2 hour journey to Reading. On our arrival we walked straight in(at 11pm). The matrix is a top night out in reading. It is inexpensive for the line-ups that it attracts and students get discounts. The search is not that strict and dress code is usually anything goes. drinks are usually around £3 for a bottle and the music is pumping. the air conditioning in there is great so u don't sweat like an animal. The main dance floor is large and roomy and the music isn't defening. the chill out area usually plays garage and is great to sit on sofas and relax for a while and survey the crowd. I would recomend anyone to go as it caters for all kinds. It is not as big as some clubs but it can stand out as a top night ... Read the complete review
