The Ritz used to be an old ballroom that is now a night club. The venue is located on Whitworth Street West and it attracts a completely different crowd, depending on the event that is being held. On a Monday night you will find alternative music being played - and a crowd that are really into rock, metal and Goth music. On a ... Read the complete review

The Ritz is the second biggest Rock Club in Manchester, after Rock World, but in my opinion much better, and much cleaner. Although it isn't as such a rock club, it does have a great rock night on Mondays. The night begins at 9 and finishes at 2. Once you get there it is £2 pound in before 10.30, or 1.50 if you have a flier. Once ... Read the complete review

I have to give the thumbs up to the Ritz on a Monday night. There are not many places where you'll get the same quality venue open until 2 o'clock on a Monday night, especially student friendly and in the centre of Manchester. Alternative night, as it’s known, kind of just means a night of nu metal and 20 minutes ... Read the complete review

O.K. i have been to the Ritz a few times on a Monday night, because it’s alternative/rock/dance/hip hop night. I personally prefer the rock but still there’s very few rock places on a Monday night in Manchester. I still went down with a few of my friends as they recommended to me, I had a few quid on sod it I went. ... Read the complete review

I went to the Ritz nightclub on a monday night and let's just say it wasn't somewhere I was going back to in a hurry! The club is located just around the corner from the Cornerhouse Cinema and is just off Oxford Road, from the outside it looks like it isn't up to much but once you get inside it has a rather ... The Ritz on a Wednesday Night is Brutus Gold’s Love Train, not as dodgy as it sounds! It’s a seventies night, playing seventies music, and most of the people here can actually remember what it was like to be going out in the seventies. In a stark contrast to the Monday night Ritz, if you go on a Wednesday at age ... Read the complete review

Monday nights at the Ritz are "alternative night"s which is really wicked as they play some quality music. They also play a different variety which is cool too as every alternative music fan gets at least something that they like played. Another bonus of The Ritz is the bouncy dancefloor which is wicked. I used to dance the ... Read the complete review

I've been going to the Ritz on a Monday night for 3 or so years now, and I must admit nowadays I feel very old when I go in (I'm 19). You can spot the 13 year olds trying desperately to look older than they are, and it is very obvious that they are barely out of nappies but I think that is just accepted in the Ritz. (actually ... The Ritz has been keeping the mundane out of monday nights since Rage first yelled 'Be off with you*, I won't do what you tell me' * words to that effect, and probably before. The staple diet of every 'Rock/alternative' student in manchester, and those of us who come home for holidays and miss it like washing done for ... Read the complete review
