Except for the Tower, until quite recently, there was nowhere except the Room to go to and as most people in Hull are trendies, people tended not to go there. I, not being a trendy, decided to visit there for the first time a few months back and was amazed by the standard of this club night. Wednesday night is metal/punk/rock night and at around £2 it is excellent value, especially with doubles starting at about £1.50. The Room is situated in the town centre, close to everything. Went into Hull on Friday night for the first time in ages. Had a few bevvies, then was looking around for a club that'd let me in without having to look like a Ben Shermanite. Stumbled on Room - hadn't been in a couple of years. Door staff very friendly - told us it was a hard house/ trance night. Only £4 - why not give it a try? Well, we did, and had a fantastic time. Cool tunes, chilled peeps and good doorstaff (for once). A relaxed and friendly time was enjoyed by all due to the great atmosphere. I would recommend anyone to give it a try.
