The music is mostly always heavy metal rock stuff, but sometimes they get drum and bass Dj's in and hardcore DJ's. It's a dirty club, and is quite small. The main "dancefloor" is surrounded by a large cave like structure and is pretty cool. If you're a regular club goer and not a goth or a sweaty I wouldn't recommend going cos the club itself is bad and although it is cheap to get in they play bad music. ... more |

TJ's is a sweaty club in Newport town centre. It is located jsut over the bridge oppossite Iceland and is the place where all the goths hang out. The music is mostly always heavy metal rock stuff, but sometimes they get drum and bass Dj's in and hardcore DJ's. It's a dirty club, and is quite small. TJ's has to have been one of the dirtiest club that I have ever been to in my entire life. That is if you want to call it a club because it doesnt really play club music it's more heavy metal. It's a great place to go though if you're totally fed up with regular clubs because for the first time you go it's an expierience you will never forget. The problem is you soon get bored of seeing the same old nutters and getting pushed around in a mosh pit. But if you're looking for something new and have never tried anything like it I suggest you go. But please don't wear anything good because the floor is covered in muck and it will ruin your best ...
