Disadvantages: ugly and the same music played every week
As a York resident i have tried out all of the clubs in York, i thought it must be my duty hehe.
Toffs is not the best out of the three but deffinatly not the worst, the look of the place is the out side of a shabby warehouse, which is what it used to be before it became a club, and has not changed much on the inside, apart from a bit of ugly carpet, and some bored bouncers.
As you walk in the club there is a payment point and coat area which is a pound to get rid of you coat, personally i think they should pay you as they do seem to loose there regularly, then as you walk further in there is a bar and then the large dance floor, well they say it is large but after having atleast twenty people on it you feel like a sardine, there is also an eating area upstairs and some sofas to relax on which have also seen better days.
There is also a small cheesy bar as we like to call it, that plays all the eighties music and the stuff no one else wants to listen to, but there is a bar in there as well and a couple of sofas, and the toilets so there is a reason to go in that bit.
The good part of toffs is the fact that it is right in the centre of York, taxis are always outside, and the food places are at the bottom of the street and alwasy open even at four in the morning... so thats a good thing.
Thanks for reading.
Summary: Naff little place but the beer is cheap and its in the centre.
