This bar, club and restaurant in Tooting is a little gem amongst a million takeaways. Less than a minutes walk from tooting broadway station on the northern line, its like walking back in time.
Antic Pop up Pubs revamped the building and gave it a twist to attract new customers a few years ago. I didnt see it before the transformation, but now it is so stylishly done. The long bar stretches the length of one wall, and booths along the otherside make this long and booming building a bit cosier.
Upstairs there are some comfy sofas which are good for early evening chilling out, and the balcony is good for people watching when the club music kicks in.
On a friday they have an 80s night, which I dont like as the dj isnt great. However on a saturday its more of a house mix and is a lot better to dance to.
The only thing I think they should change is that in the centre of the room, there are still the tables and chairs even when its packed full of people dancing. They should really move them towards the side or away so that people can dance with more space and not keep banging into chairs and people.
Its not too expensive here either for London, its free entry, drinks wont break the bank. Its really the only club in Tooting so there isnt much other choice, but its done quite well and is very popular every weekend.
I wouldnt come from central London to go here, but as its my local area its a good option with a short walk home.
