Advantages: compact, easy to use and makes an excellent hot drink, lots of variety
Disadvantages: Noisy . Cartridges are expensive
This little coffee making machine by bosch is fantastic, offering the option to make a range of teas, coffee's and hot chocolate at the push of a button. If you love your hot drinks in the winter then this is the machine for you. For those of you with kids you can make a great cup of hot chocolate for them on those cold dark evenings before bed. Easy to use and doesn't take up too much space in the kitchen due to it's compact size, measuring in at just 273mm high, 204mm wide and 334mm deep, and lets face it, it looks pretty stylish too, but what else would you expect from Bosch.
So why choose bosch when there are so many other coffee machines out there?
Well I've always associated Bosch with quality and reliability. The products that are manufactured I find are easy to use, designed to perform to the maximum of their ability and are built to last. Bosch also take into consideration the effect their products have on the environment and design them to minimise pollution, make use of natural resources and probably more important to the customer, be economic, all without compromising the performance and efficiency of their products.
The machine itself can be adapted to suit a variety of cup sizes from large latte cups to small espresso cups. This machine is an intelligent one, using only barcodes printed on cartridges to determine which programme is to be used, ensuring the perfect hot drink every time. The water heats up in virtually no time at all, and is sourced from a 2 litre water tank which can be easily removed for refilling.
The products provided by Tassimo for this machine are great and you get exactly what you ask for when you insert your cartridges which can be found in supermarkets and on the Tassimo website. There are however a couple of drawbacks to this product, the first being the amount of noise that it creates. A quieter product would be more appealing but you still get a great cup of coffee out of it so it's a bearable flaw in my opinion. Secondly - Not all products for the Tassimo are available in supermarkets. There are a number of products which are exclusive to the Tassimo online store which dictates a minimum spend of £8 and then charges £4.50 p&p for the privelage, which personally I find a bit steep, and finally, it takes a little longer than pouring hot water from a kettle to make the perfect hot drink with this machine as the flow of water is slow
All of this aside I now cannot imagine being without this coffee machine. It has been the perfect addition to my household this year
Summary: mmmmm I love my coffee in the morning.

- 19/02/09 On account that all Tassimo machines are currently either made by Bosch or Braun you dont have much of an option here to choose either brand - the larger Tassimo machine is made by Braun and this one is a much smaller machine by Bosch.
A lot more info would be good here such as:
What do you get with it? Any cups or starter drink kits?
How do the drinks taste?
Cleaning it
Does it get hot during use?
Controls easy to see and use?
Cost of the actual model
Do all cup sizes fit under the spout including larger taller coffee mugs?
