Sometimes being on a low income means you have to find dependable products for as cheap as you can, and this coffee pot is just that. Dependable and not terribly expensive given that it lacks in some features but makes up in another.
The coffee maker's design is simplistic in nature, offering the most basic of functions like the traditional on and off, as well as the pause and serve. It lacks other features like timer enabled brewing, a clock or auto shut off. This is somewhat inconvenient for some people who are on the go (like myself), since you have to turn the coffee pot on and wait for it to finish while at the same time remembering to shut if off when you leave.
While it does lack in some features the water filtering feature built into it is a really big bonus, as it helps with brewing the most tasteful cup of coffee... Which is important to someone like me, as I like to drink a good cup of coffee before I hit the road and start my day
