Once the kettle is boiled, pour some water into the cafeteria first to warm the glass up before you fill up, this is to safe the glass breaking
Swill the water around, check the outer of the glass to make sure it is all warm.
Add coffee, then top up with hot water, give the coffee a stir, then pop the lid on, once the coffee looks to be the strength that you want, push the plunger down and then you can pour your coffee out..

While I do not drink a lot of coffee myself I do like a nice cup of Lyons fresh coffee now and again so invested in a La Cafetiere coffee maker for the odd occasion when I fancy a coffee or if my daughter is visiting. It cost me £25 which I thought was expensive for a cafetiere but this one has definitely proved itself as a very good one. It is a very attractive cafetiere being mostly glass with quite a small amount of chrome making up a pretty 'frame' around the glass jug. Among them we received this La Cafetiere with a chrome design. I love fresh coffee but being lazy it is not often I actually make myself some. I received the La cafetiere 4 cup as a Christmas present and was thrilled with it when I opened it and seen what it was. I had always wanted a cafetiere but never got around to buying one for one reason or another but had always enjoyed getting my coffee in one at cafes and hotels. I much prefer filter coffee to instant, so anyone in the same boat knows that a cafetiere is a must in any kitchen. I purchased the 4 cup cafetiere as I have a space limited kitchen, but more because I thought a 4 cup one would do fine for my needs, and seeing as I make coffee most days, I wanted a cafetiere that I could leave on the work surfaces without taking up too much space (may sound silly, but I really do have minimal space)! La Cafetiere is a french press coffee maker. If you love the coffee you get served in little French coffee houses as much as I do they you will love this coffee maker. This is such a nice way of making coffee but one I generally only do when we have company as I think it's a nice way of serving coffee and presenting it on your dinner table. A cafetiere consists of a glass beaker which sits in a stainless steel holder and has a stainless steel filter and plunger and a lid on the top. The coffee is really easy to make.
