I received the shiny black Magimix with Aerocino milk frother for my birthday in January and it is one of the best birthday presents I have ever had. I am a big coffee drinker and was finding myself spending £60-£80 a month on Starbucks coffee, now for a student this an extremely expensive habit which my boyfriend was eager to help me kick.

The machine itself is wonderful. It looks sleek and shiny and integrates perfectly into my kitchen whilst looking a bit special too! It heats the water in around a minute giving you nearly instant, perfectly poured coffee. The milk frother delivers perfectly warmed and frothed milk in around three minutes giving you a latte or cappuccino prepared in your own kitchen. There are a few little things that I have a problem with. Firstly it is incredibly loud and makes the whole side shake when it's pouring coffee, however this only lasts around a minute so is not too big a deal. Secondly the milk frother does require a small amount of supervision as it does tend to spill everywhere if you put just a little too much milk in it! Despite this there are some neat little features. There are two coffee pouring options; one for a large cup and one for an espresso sized cup which gives you weaker and stronger coffee respectively. There is also a flip out stand which is integrated within the machine which is just the right height for an espresso cup which stops the coffee from splashing out.

The Nespresso brand coffee is also wonderful, much nicer than chain coffee shop's coffee. There are a load of different options and blends to choose from which range between 1 and 10 in intensity. There are also 3/4 decaffeinated options.

All in all this is a lovely little machine which gives me a perfect cup of coffee every morning and has saved me loads on Starbucks!
