Morphy Richards Cafe Matino 47070
An excellent little machine!
I wanted a coffee machine that had a timer so I would have a cup of coffee waiting for me after my shower before I left for lectures in a morning. Being a lazy student, I need a coffee machine that was:
-cheap
-easy to use
-easy to clean
and the Cafe Matino ticked all those boxes.
It has a clock on the front which is easy to set. You just press the hour and minute buttons, and the programme button to set which time you want to set the coffee machine for. A green light appears when you press the 'Auto On' button to let you know you've successfully set the timer. And a red light appears above the power button when you manually turn it on.
It's so easy to use and clean. You just lift the lid and spoon in the coffee to the removeable filter. You then use the jug to fill the water up. There is a water level indicator showing you how many cups you'll get out of each brewing. Then close the lid, put the jug on the plate, and press the power button.
The plate will keep the coffee warm for two hours, and then automatically turn itself off. Perfect for a lazy and forgetful student!
The machine is currently just under £50 in Argos, but I got it in their half price sale for £25. No doubt it'll be reduced again in their next sale. However, even at £50, it's great value if you think about just how much money you'll save on buying from Costa or Starbucks. Especially as you can buy the coffee to fill it up for 99p from Home Bargains!
Summary: A great little coffee maker.
