Advantages: Large pot, auto-switch off and programmable timer

This is our first coffee machine and it's turned out to be a good choice. It has a good 12 cup (6 mug) sized pot, it is easy to fill and easy to clean. It has a removable filter, so no need (if you wish) for paper filters (although, we chose to go down the paper filter route, as it's much less fuss when cleaning the machine).

The machine has a clock with a timer which is very quick and easy to set, allowing the machine to switch on in the morning and have your coffee ready and waiting for when you wake up. It is reasonably quiet when brewing, takes around 5-7 minutes to brew the full jug and it has an automatic switch off after 2 hours, so you don't run the risk of rushing out to work and forgetting to switch it off, leaving it to brew dry.

The only little annoyance (and it is a tiny one) is that the water reservoir is positioned too close to the filter area and doesn't have a lip of any kind, so its easy to slosh over the sides and pour water in to the filter area when filling up the machine. However, we quickly learned not to put the coffee in until after filling up with water. Simples :-)

Summary: Love this filter coffee machine. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to get your caffiene fix.
