When my Dad bought one of these coffee makers at great cost, I thought he was fairly crazy. I have now bought one myself as not only is this coffee maker beautiful it is easy and convenient to use. The machine itself is made of brushed chrome and looks very snazzy, it is quite large so if space in your kitchen is at a premium, then this is not the machine for you! The water jug and coffee flask are separate- the flask keeping the coffee warm for a fairly long time (to pour out the coffee you have to remove the screw lid).
