Advantages: Easy to use, easy to clean, multiple choice drinks.

Disadvantages: Not the cheapest drinks or the most expensive drinks

Brilliant. I love this little machine. I now own 2. One for the office, which i have had for 2-years. The other is in the kitchen which is 18-months old. At the beginning, they had a funny taste but being sensible i just ran them with the cleaning unit in it and it soon cleared up - my parents had the same problem too. I can only assume that people who took it back within a day due to the taste have been a bit thick and not flushed it thoroughly.

Anyway, supermarkets sell the basic coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The tassimo website sells european t-discs of brand names unknown in the UK e.g. Mastro Lorenzo crema coffee and sustainable development coffee from the rainforest alliance.

I own basic white Ikea coffee cups (not clunking american sized mugs) and they are full when I add a splash of milk. The european coffees need the milk t-disks to fill a cup - but then European coffee always use about 1/2 steamed milk anyway. The t-discs are more expensive per cup than instant coffee - but then they are a lot better tasting!

I looked at a lot of machines - and most of my friends have one type or another - my advice is if you have the time then go for an expensive expresso machine. BUT if you want a quick to use, easy to clean machine with the multiple choice of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit tea - then choose the Tassimo.
