golferinfr's Full Review: Folgers House Blend Ground Coffee, 292 grams Unit...
I ran out of coffee I thought this morning, scrambling in my cabinets and finally headed for my pantry. Sneaking behind the Raisin Bran I saw the black cover of the lid and when I picked it up I frowned a little because it was not my favorite Breakfast Blend, but this House Blend would do the trick to I had time to hit the grocery store. I flipped the lid and pulled the aluminum seal off, the aroma was still fresh as I prepared my coffee pot. Three large scoops for me please, because I like to taste the heartiness of the bean without all that acid taste back-up. With the Breakfast Blend and this House Blend you are guarantee a great cup of coffee. When taking the seal off, you can notice that these grounded beans are darker for that fuller taste.
Each 292 grams plastic tub has enough grounds for 90 six ounce cups which is nothing for me since my work mug is 32 ounces. I get the bigger tubs of grounds but lately it's just the smaller ones that have been on sale saving me a good bit. When the coffee is brewing the whole kitchen comes alive as I stand in front of the pot taking the aroma in. This medium blend of grounds still has a full body taste that once it hits your tongue and the back of your throat your senses become alive. I add just a little sugar and milk with this House Blend because it really sets the tastes off.
Overall, I do like this coffee as a very close second to the Breakfast Blend. There is no strong after taste later and those suffering from acid reflux will enjoy this coffee because of its low acid content. It is nice to either keep the plastic tub in the refrigerator or a cool dark place in your kitchen. The flavor starts going away after two weeks of the tub being opened.
