==Kenco Really Smooth Coffee==
I first came across this Kenco Really Smooth when we went to Lego land and stayed for the night in a Travel lodge. They had these sachets in the room and because I had run out of the tea bags I decided on trying a coffee. This is when I realised that I did actually like coffee and so my obsession began!
These Kenco Really Smooth sachets only have a piddly amount of the granules in the packet and therefore I did feel the need to double up on them and when I returned home I decided on buying a regular sized jaw from the supermarket. Unfortunately it wasn't' on special offer or anything at the time and it wasn't especially cheap at a little over the £6 region for a 200 gram jar. There were others on offer which I could have tried but knowing I liked this one I really wanted to make sure I was going to be able to use up the whole pot.
The jars design is nothing really inspiring although the fact that the glass sides are clear mean that you are able to see how much you have left but the fact that it is made of glass means that it is really rather heavy and not something that can be taken about to work or the like. The red lid and front label don't scream luxury or anything and to me it looks like a relatively cheap coffee product.
The coffee itself is a freeze dried instant coffee and is made up using boiling water to which I always add a couple of sugars and a good amount of milk. The granules are not especially dark although when compared to the Gold Blend I have recently been buying, just by looking at the two you can see the difference as this really smooth is a lot browner although the grains are more or less the same size. The smell of the coffee is just as you would expect although quite a light aroma and nothing too overpowering.
I do like the taste of this coffee and given its name you will find it has a "Really Smooth" taste (hardly surprising). I still find it on the whole a little bit weak and do need a couple of teaspoons of the granules to get the coffee to the right strength for my own taste. This of course meant that the 200 gram glass jar didn't last me quite as long as I had anticipated and on the whole didn't work out quite as economical as buying a stronger tasting coffee but then you do learn from your mistakes. I can't say its one that I won't be buying again but I would probably only buy it were it on a special offer.
I think on the whole it is a nice coffee although I think I need a stronger one for my tastes. For that reason I feel that a score of 3 out 5 stars is more than adequate for this drink and I would give it a slight recommendation for those who perhaps like a smooth yet slightly weak coffee.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
