Lavazza Crema & Gusto Gusto forte
Advantages: Tastes great, really rich and smooth texture, good quality, stays fresh
Disadvantages: You cant drink to much as its to strong in my opinion
I recently did a review on some coffee beans buy the Lavazza brand. It is only recently that I have started drinking coffee again after going off it but I know I am struggling to drink tea and coffee is my new favourite warm drink. We have a coffee machine at home that grinds the beans and this is my preferred drink but I can drink any type of coffee now and I am getting a little bit more adventurous. The product that I am going to be reviewing today is the Lavazza Coffee Crema e Gusto Forte. This is a coffee that is advertised as having a strong taste and a few months ago I probably would not have been able to drink it as it would have been that bit too strong for my taste buds but as I mentioned, I a now that little bit more adventurous and here are my thoughts on it.
The packet of coffee can be found in all of the major supermarkets, I got mine from Tesco and it was around the £4.29 mark, the most I have seen it priced at is the £4.89 figure but I have also seen a couple of deals where you can buy the coffee on a buy 2 packs for a reduced price which is worth keeping your eye out for.
The coffee comes in a sealed bag that it is mainly orange in colour. The Lavazza logo is on the front of the bag and the name of the actual product. On the reverse of the packaging is all the information that you need on the coffee product as well as directions for use and storage information. The packet is one of those vacuum packed ones so once you have been opened you do need to be careful to reseal it or else you will lose the freshness of the coffee as well as having a house that is full of the scent of the product!
We followed the instructions carefully and put this into our espresso machine, we did also use it in the peculator. The first thing that I noticed about it was the lovely rich smell that the coffee was giving off, and that was before we had even warmed it through. The coffee is a very deep brown colour, much darker than instant coffee. After it had warmed through in the machine, I added my sweetener (I still find coffee that little bit to bitter to have without any sweetener) and away I went.
This is definitely a lot stronger to coffees that I have had in the past, that is not to say that I did not like it. There is a really smooth texture to the coffee and whilst it is strong, sipped gently, it is a lovely warming taste and I really liked it. I don't think I could drink a really big mug of this coffee as I would find it too much but a small cup is perfect and is just the right amount in my opinion, the quality is really great.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this drink, there is a definite quality there and whilst I cant drink a large cup, I think this is a compliment to how good the quality is on the drink.
4 out of 5 from me
Thank you for reading
