Advantages: convenient and packaged well

Disadvantages: Does not resemble coffee taste wise, smell wise or appearance wise

Not often I drink coffee, but when I do I always enjoy drinking Nescafe original, and love it. While in Tesco, picking my usual coffee, Nescafe 3 in 1 caught my eye. I have not seen it advertised before but have decided to pick one pack, which contains 10 sachets, just to try it out.
When I got home I had to use scissors to open the main pack which is quite a big pack. So I was expecting the sachets to be big too. But they were not. They were small, long and quite thin sachets, which I really liked. There are 10 individual sachets, which contain coffee, sugar and whitener. It sounded and looked perfect.
I took one sachet and opened it quite easily (no scissors needed, this time), and poured it in the average size mug. The powder did look much lighter colour than a usual coffee powder, but was guessing it was because of the whitener that was added. I could not smell that nice strong smell of coffee either, but I didn't let that stop me trying it. So all I had to do is boil the kettle and just before it boils, to switch it off and pour in the mug. So that's what I did.
When I poured the water over the powder and stirred it, the first thing that hit me was the smell. It was a very unpleasant smell (actually it was an awful smell that does not resemble the fine smell of any coffee at all). The colour was not promising either. It was a very pale, watery colour, leaving me to wonder where the whitener is. And then, it was the taste. Well I don't drink coffee often, but certainly do know how lovely it tastes. Well this one did not taste like a coffee at all. It was a hot drink witch left an awful, strong taste at the back of my throat for a very long time. I had to look at the pack again just to make sure that it was the 3 in 1 coffee that I picked up.
Now I have to point out that I do drink my coffee with 2 teaspoons of sugar (not sweeteners) and full fat milk, so maybe that is why I could not find any similarity to my usual coffee, but I have drunk before Nescafe original in individual sachets, where you had to add your own milk and sugar, and that was perfectly ok. So I am sticking to it.

Summary: sorry, would not recommend
