Nestlé Coffee Mate
Advantages: Makes the coffee lovely and sweet to taste
Disadvantages: Nothing at all
I like a nice creamy coffee but real cream can work out quite expensive if you are watching the pennies. I have been using Coffee Mate now for more years than I care to remember. This stuff seems to have been around for ages. I buy the 500g plastic jar with a bright red twisty lid and this costs me Ł2.00 from the cheap shop near to where I work. I do go through quite a lot of this stuff as both me and my other half both enjoy it in our coffees.
Coffee Mate is easy to get hold of - it is in most shops and large supermarkets and the price varies quite a lot depending on where you shop. One jar lasts us around a week in our house so we buy the largest jars we can find as this is a lot more cost effective.
It is simple and very easy to use. I like a good three teaspoons in my coffee though my other half prefers hers with just the one spoon. Each to his own, I suppose.
The Coffee Mate itself smells really nice I think even before it is added to the coffee. As soon as you open the jar and twist off the lid you can detect the smell of sweet vanilla. It isn't too overpowering though, just a gentle aroma. It looks like very fine powder in the jar and when you add it to the hot coffee it always manages to dissolve easily. There is never a hint of a lump I always find it magically changes the taste and colour of the coffee and makes it taste so much nicer.
As soon as you take your first sip, you will immediately notice that the coffee actually tastes creamier and I personally find, also a little bit sweeter. I quite like this, even though I am not a fan of sweet coffee, I still like the taste.
It really does make a huge difference to the taste and I actually prefer Coffee Mate to cream.
Nice stuff and really recommended.
Summary: Great stuff, love it
