Starbucks Discoveries Caramel Latte

Advantages: Everything and I think it offers excellent value for money for what it is too!

Disadvantages: None at all

I absolutely love Starbucks coffee and was excited when I saw a couple of flavours of ready made coffee retailing at £1.49 a drink in my local Asda store (since then I have seen these in numerous supermarkets by the way including Sainsbury's and Morrison's) and I purchase them regularly from anywhere I can get my hands on them and I have a few pennies spare!

I couldn't wait to try out the caramel flavour one when I spotted it and since drinking the first one I tried late one night I usually have a couple of these in my fridge (I'm drinking one now whilst I am writing this review actually lol!).

The Packaging:

220ml cup with a white plastic lid with a hole in that and under that there is a orangy coloured foil and the outside of the cup there is again an orangy colour along with blue and the Starbucks emblem is shown and I am clearly told that it is 'Discoveries' Starbucks Coffee, Qandi Latte Caramel Flavour. On the back of the cup other information listed includes being told a bit about the latte, nutritional advice and ingredients are listed and contact details for Arla foods (the manufacturer of the product) are given. It's a nice handy cup and informative enough and comes with a clear and green straw so its ready to drink.

A Bit About The Product According To The Information Listed On The Cup:

Made with Starbucks Fairtrade certified Expresso roast, just like the beverages in our stores. Qandi Latte combines expresso and milk with buttery- sweet caramel flavour.

The Drink Itself:

Shake it up, pop the straw in the top of the cup (that comes with it and attached to the side of it) and away you go. The liquid smells like sweet coffee and is a light brown, milky looking colour.

Taste wise this is simply superb and just the usual quality you would expect from a Starbucks product. The taste of coffee is slightly bitter and tastes really fresh and roasted, blended with what tastes like full fat milk which is really creamy and with a really sweet taste of buttery, sweet caramel to it. The flavour is smooth and like I say fresh and at the moment this is my favourite ready to drink coffee from the range. It just has a lot of flavours going on within it and really is just simply TASTY! Just make sure you like sweet....cos it is that but that sweetness really does go with the buttery and bitter flavours going on within it!
