Advantages: Some interesting flashbacks and flashforwards.
Disadvantages: Misleading back cover.
Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 6: Happy Birthday. This comic sounds like it's going to be the greatest book ever, but as you read it, it is not. The back cover reads: "Spider-Man revisits all his greatest battles - against the likes of Doctor Octopus, the Green Goblin, Venom and more!". Now, as I read this I thought to myself "Amazing! All of spidey's villians in one comic? This will be great!". Although what happens is, Each villian has a page or sometimes two to themselves, What's happening is Spider-Man is travelling through time on his birthday (no idea why it's his birthday) and he has to fight in flashbacks of all his prior battles, each fight lasting 1-2 pages, so as you can imagine the fights are rather boring.
Despite the dissapointment of this though, there are some good features to this comic book, such as being able to view Spider-Man's death in the future (I'm not going to spoil anything!) and a flashback viewing when spidey get's bitten by the radioactive spider and Peter battles with himself to stop the spider biting him, saving Uncle Ben, or letting the spider bite him, Uncle Ben would live but thousands who Spider-Man has saved would die!
Summary: Worth a read, although I was a little dissapointed.
