Mozilla Firefox ... Firefox has been around since November 2004. It is an open source web browser which was created and is managed by the Mozilla Corporation. Being an open source piece of software means unlike Microsoft s Internet Explorer, users can have access to the source code of the software which allows individuals to alter the design and change it depending on their own needs if they require. Setting up Mozilla Firefox is quick and easy, the setup file isn t too large and can be downloaded off Mozilla s website extremely quickly. Mozilla Firefox is compatible with all main operating systems and has the same functionality throughout. Mozilla Firefox ... anyone still really use Internet Explorer these days? There is a huge host of rivals to Microsoft s still dominating web browser, and in my opinion, Mozilla s Firefox is the one to go for. The differences do seem relatively subtle at first glaces, but you soon notice improvements over Microsoft s own. The tabbed browsing, spell checking and find features are far superior to Microsoft s own in the way they can be used and manipulated. For instance when using several tabs in one window, you may right click a current tab and chose to open it into a new window, freeing up space in your current tab bar and allowing you to browse freely in the new window.
