Advantages: Speed, looks, smoothness, efficiency
Disadvantages: None
Internet Explorer has always had a large share in the browser market because it is packaged with any Windows PC, not because it is a better product. Firefox's market share is growing considerably at the moment as the faults of Internet Explorer are constantly being exposed.
Internet Explorer is a slow and unreliable browser. It's often crashing and takes a very long time to load even the simplest of websites. Firefox has changed all of that. It's smoother, loads quicker and looks a lot better. Firefox is far more user friendly; Everything is there to see and nothing is in a hard-to-find place. It's a lot more customisable than Internet Explorer is as well. There are themes that you can install, so you could have a football based theme or a crystal theme, there are many to choose from. Firefox also allows you to download "Add-ons", little extra features that can perform great tasks. I personally use an advert-blocking add-on that blocks adverts on a website and an add-on that tells me which country a website originates from. There are so many to choose from that there is something for everyone.
You might be sat there thinking "Why change to Firefox? Internet Explorer is working fine for me." Is it? Firefox is faster, smoother and looks far better. Anything Internet Explorer can do (which is relatively little), Firefox can do far better. Download it, and you won't regret your decision.
Summary: A far better browser than Internet Explorer
