This review is for Microsoft Entourage 2004. Ever since Apple went over to OSX Entourage has been Microsoft's answer to Outlook. If you are used to using Outlook on OS9 then you will probably not be entirely happy with Entourage. There are a few annoying problems or should I say features that are not available, there are no pst files anymore, you have a section called Folders On My Computer where you are supposed to archive your emails, however this is a nightmare to backup as all of your email data is contained within a database file which is stored locally on the Mac, so no option for offline folders. I find that the database becomes corrupt on a regular basis and you have to run a utility to repair it. If running with an exchange account it is very difficult to manage your email especially your mailbox size, another quirk I have found is that if delete an attachment from one of your emails then it doesn't actually delete it from the exchange server, very annoying. The only plus point in my opinion is that it is a fair bit better that the built in Apple mail program but it is now where near as good as Outlook. Unfortunately if you want to use an email client in OSX then Entourage is probably going to be your best bet, there are not that many alternatives!.
