Over the past few years, the music industry has been rocked by the surge in popularity of the Internet filesharing program Napster. The program, which as I am sure you will know, lets you download mp3 audio files of your choice onto your computer, was recently forced to remove thousands of files and artists from the system, lessening the massive appeal it once had. Now that the all-too infamous Napster client has degenerated into a mere guessing game when it comes to downloads, the world of Internet file-sharing has undergone a massive change, in a very short space of time indeed. Upon the rumours of Napster's inevitable shutdown actually becoming ...  Read the complete review

Since the effective death of Napster, it has been difficult for the average user to decide which file sharing client to use in its place. It seems the recommended one changes quickly, it was just a few weeks ago everyone was talking about WinMX as the successor to Napster’s throne; now the people in the know are talking about Morpheus as the new peer to peer client of choice. Morpheus is a client from Music City; you can download it by paying a visit to http://www.musiccity.com, or by visiting http://www.cnet.com and doing a search for Morpheus. The set up file is only 1.4MB and should take less than ten minutes. Set up is easy enough, it requires you to ...  Read the complete review

Musiccity Morpheus: Hehe, it's that dude from The Matrix, innit? (639 words)

With Napster obsolete (but allegedly on a legal comeback trail - which I doubt will make them as popular again as they were), there has been a numerous amount of file trading applications trying to be the popular, and over time it's Mussicity's Morpheus that has become the premier new player. First of all, unlike Napster (and like a number of other competitors), you're not limited to just trading MP3's and WMA's. You can trade and obtain audio, video, images, documents and software (so pretty much anything). And resultantly porn and illegal software are available too which makes Morpheus either a more prime target for law suits, or ...  Read the complete review

So you've read my MP3 vs MD op and want to download MP3s (like misslook), but you're not sure how, or what the heck you're doing. I'm going to lay out a pretty simple op, not a techie one. What is Morpheus? ----------------- Much of what we download from the internet is based in one of two forms (FTP & HTTP). If you click on a link from a page that you see before you, then it tends to bring a little box asking you if you want to save the file. Surely you must have come across this, if not. I'll guide you through downloading something in a sec. Morpheus is different to the conventional way of downloading something. It's a ...  Read the complete review

This is a message for all ex Napster users, do you like having your free music stopped for no fault of your own??? I don’t think so.. So what would you say if I said there was a program which ran on the same principle but gave you far much more than Napster could ever give you… How does free Videos, Software, Images and Documents sound? Pretty good yeh well just go to www.musiccity.com and download Morpheus and I promise you’ll never look at Napster or Audio Galaxy again! To use the program you first have to download the software and install it on to your computer, the package gives you everything you need to share your files with others and ...  Read the complete review
