Ws_ftp is a reasonable piece of free software for uploading or downloading files. I've been using it for about a year now, and although there are simpler, and also more complex programmes around, this one has a good balance of features. Small and easy is how I like to describe WS FTP. Downloads these days more often use HTTP but FTP is still the most robust method. WS FTP, written by IPswitch, contains all the features you could need for easy up and download of data. I will only use WS for uploading large (>30Mb) files because it is so reliable over latent ...
