Reading books hasn't become an obsolete hobby (yet). If you're a bookworm, tell us about the books you've read. Praise the brill ones, make a hatchet job of the bad ones - in short: give us your opinion! But never, ever, tell us the whole plot, that's an absolute no-no hereabouts.

Hey, how did this happen???? Oh well, seeing as I've been here nearly 8 years I suppose I ought to contribute a bit more than a few well-meant comments here and there!

So, what do I know about Computers? Well, I suppose I must have picked up a few things in the 37 years I've worked in IT. Mind you, as I'm now retired I thought I'd put all that behind me! But, if you feel that you would like some advice or guidance then that, it appears, is why I'm here. So, don't be shy; get in touch and I'll do my very best for you.

I am the new guide for the Food & Drink category, and think I am perfectly suited to it as food plays a massive part in my life whether it's cooking or eating it.

I love to read about new products on the market so let's fill the category with 'First Reviews' as really there is only so much we can say about the old favourites.

I am sure we've all bought household appliances that have either proved to be wonderful, been disappointing or gone on to feature on "Watchdog" or blow up (well the last thing might just be me actually).

I am the Motors Guide which is one of the quieter sections on the site, but also one which we are more likely to research before we buy.....I aim to bring a bit of pink fluffiness to the section. No seriously, I quite like cars, I have owned about 18 or 20 (showing my age here), and had 7 company cars, (that's when I had a real job). I know how important a purchase it is, and we need as many quality reviews of ownership as possible. I love Top Gear, Formula 1 and I do read car magazines such as Auto Express.

Please remember as members, we are not writing to show off ourvast knowledge, and I do find that reviews that are way too long are a disincentive to read. It's important to think of the person you are writing for (not the guide or other memebers necessarily!) and ensure your review is a sensible length. For example, I had a restaurant review published in a travel magazine, but I had to condense it to 250 words....! It can be possible to achieve VU without writing 1000 word epics on everything. Just a thought...

Hello - I've somehow ended up being the guide for Sports.

I'm looking forward to reading lots of fabulous sports related reviews from all you lovely people.

I'm predominantly a football fan, I spent my honeymoon at a Scotland Away Game - and I only live a five minute walk from Scotland's National Stadium, lucky me!

As an avid traveler myself I'm always interested in the experiences of others. 2009 Itinerary - three trips to my flat in Slovenia; so far (in July) one trip to Barcelona, and trips planned for Dublin (October) and a trip to Hameln in Germany (November) and Croatia and Bosnia and Slovenia (in September)
