      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Great if you like pizza express salads and can afford it.

I bought this dressing the other day because I really love Pizza Express, especially their salads so I thought this would make my home salads that little bit nicer.

      FLAVOUR
It is quite tangy but the balsamic part of the dressing is not overpowering. I find that when I mix olive oil and balsamic vinegar to make my own dressing, it is very difficult to get the balance right and it is either too oily if I add too much olive oil or too sharp if I add too much vinegar. They either have the proportions spot on or they are using a very high quality balsamic vinegar. To me the taste is slightly sweeter than a traditional balsamic vinegar, more like a balsamic syrup. Though because it is mixed in a dressing, it is not strong and thick like a syrup.

      PRICE
It is almost £3 and I think that is hugely overpriced.

      OVERALL
I cannot fault this product at all on taste. It was delicious and made my salads far tastier. However, I am a bit of a cheap skate and so I would rather just buy the olive oil and balsamic vinegar to make my own. Who knows, maybe one day, I'll get the balance between them right!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Not a bad product but not sure if it is worth the money.

At £2.89 for a 250g bottle this product is a little over priced, although very nice! I would definitely recommend it on the flavour front and in terms of being a healthier option for salad dressings than mayo. It is very fresh tasting with all the richness of the balsamic vinegar range in general.

Although it is tasty I feel that it works out cheaper to just buy a cheaper brand of Balsamic Vinegar and Olive oil and use those. They last you longer and it saves precious cupboard space but then I am a fan of making my own concoctions of things.

For the technical report on what constitutes a 'Balsamic' Vinegar I get quite confused in the explanation but it seems generally that it is a more matured process of making it (6-12 years in the process). It is made from white grapes and boiled down to half its volume for its concentration and is then fermented in a slow aging process. This is then kept in a wooden cask and gains its slightly sweet and intense flavour.

If you want to make your salad (or pizza as it is good drizzled on home made pizza) taste exactly like it does from Pizza Express then this does do the trick. Although I think half the fun is that someone else is cooking it for you!
