Smoby Black & Decker Workbench ... browsing through a bootsale a few weeks ago I came across a Smoby Black & Decker Workbench for just £2.50. This was to goood a bargain to pass up so I snapped in up immedietly. Now I was suppose to buy this(or something similar) for my youngest (2yr old) for christmas but why spend around £30 - £40 when it was only £2.50!!! So anyway I am sure that when bought new it comes with approx 70 accessories, this one came with around 30 and that included screw, planks of (plastic) wood, screwdrivers, spanners and a power drill! ELC Wooden Bricks ... purchased these for our sons 1st Birthday and at almost 3 he still plays with them. They are of great quality and unlike other wooden bricks are very well made so no sharp bits are on them. They are also very brightly coloured making them appealing for young ones. They have really helped my sons motor skills, speech, counting, colours and have also helped his imagination as he has got older. To start with I would build them and he would knock them over - who would have thought this game would be such fun for so long! It was a lovely way to spend time with him hearing him laugh. ELC Wooden Bricks ... daughter who has recently turned 1 has a new found fetish for wooden bricks. Not to build with them, or to sort them, not to arrange them or to even lick them but to throw them!! My daughter got brought these bricks for her first birthday, 3 sets in fact, must be a popular present I guess and at only £13.00 this is a fantastic price for a lovely gift! Widely available also as they are early learning Centres own brand make which means you can find them in practically any shopping centre or mother care in Great Britain.
