A good buy for young Doctor Who fans

My son and I love to watch Doctor Who together and as such my son has turned in to a big fan. He has collected various mini figures in the Doctor Who series as they cost £1.99 as a rule and so it was a pocket money toy that he could buy himself. Seeing him sit and play with the random figures that he got in the bags I felt sure that he would really enjoy being able to create some more realistic scenarios with them and so I purchased him a set of character building cyberman army builder pack from amazon at the start of the year when he was really enjoying playing with the figures.

The set compromises five cybermen which are all identical to look at as they are part of the cyberman army. The figures measure around four and a half centimetres each and they come with a base in which they can be stood on should you wish for them to be displayed I suppose but my son doesn't really bother with the base plates as the cybermen have chunky feet so stand up ok without the base to be honest.

The cybermen are made from a silver coloured plastic and they are a good representation of the actual characters from the TV programme without looking too scary in my opinion. The only detailing on the mini figures is their black eyes and a print on their torso but to look at them you are left in no doubt that these are cybermen figures.

The figures feature arms and legs which you can move around a bit and so they aren't just bits of plastic that aren't functional and they can certainly be used as a child's play thing. My son likes to get all of his mini figures out and create wars between the Doctor and the cybermen but also between daleks and the cybermen for example and so he is quite imaginative in using these little figures in his play. I have even seen him with his Lego minifigures creating battles with these so they are a good little toy I have to say.

The set currently costs £3.99 on amazon and at this price I think they are a perfect toy for a young Doctor Who fan. As I mentioned my son would often pick up a lucky dip character building Doctor Who mini figure for the price of £1.99 for one and he was never really sure who he was going to get and so could sometimes be left disappointed with these. I remember paying just over £5 for this set on amazon at the start of the year but this was still a good price for five of the figures when compared to the individual cost. I can totally recommend these mini figures as they last well, are functional in play and do not take up hardly any room!

Thank you for reading my review!
