This was a recent birthday present for my daughter and, though she isn't Hello Kitty mad like some children, still likes and enjoys playing with the few associated toys of Kitty that she has. This is a set from the company who make Mega Bloks but is part of their smaller range meaning that it can be linked with Lego and other similar small-bricked toys! This is handy as the amount of bricks you get with this set is limited and it can be a bit pricey to buy the other sets that go with this product that help make up the Kitty neighborhood. Priced at around £15, the set is probably a bit much for what you get but thenit is Hello Kitty!

Mega Bloks has launched a whole range of this sort of styled products- linked into popular film and cartoon characters such as Spiderman and Captain America and even gaming enthusiasts with a series of sets based on the world of Halo! This is a clever marketing strategy and one that has been "borrowed" from rivals Lego who have long had associations now with things like Star Wars, Harry Potter and Batman.

This set basically enables you to build Hello Kitty's Flower shop and comes with everything you will need to make her shop complete in a 68 piece set. Once you have made it, there isn't a lot more to do to be fair and construction doesn't take long but it IS good that this links up with Lego meaning that you can kind of mix and match with other, rival sets ~ thus avoiding the need to buy companion sets to expand on this! I do think, compared to say Lego, it does look and feel like a cheaper version, even if that is not reflected in the price, but it's not a bad set and my daughter loves the cute-ness factor of it so overall I would describe it as a winner!

As well as Kitty, the set also comes with her best friend Fifi and a bumble bee character to bzzz around the flowers! There are a number of ways you can set this up and I think it isn't bad for the price but if I was you, I might consider whether or not I could pick this up a bit cheaper from Ebay as, with Christmas coming up, this isn't really a toy that will hold their attention for THAT long and it might be better if this was bought alongside something else as their main present.

Overall though, this is a fairly good quality product!
