A Lego Hobby That Adults Can Enjoy

Me and my partner are big kids at heart, I love anything creative, and he loves the Simpsons. We were on a shopping trip in Liverpool when we spotted the Lego store, not somewhere we would usually visit as we didn't have any children at the time (we now have a little baby) but when we spotted the Simpsons Lego House, we could not resist.

Purchased at £179.99 it is an extravagant price for something labelled as a children's toy, but make no mistake, this is far from a toy.

This complex building project for ages 12+ comes with multiple instructions booklets, hundreds, probably thousands of pieces, this really is a hobby and not a game.

The pack comes with Homer, Marge, Maggie, Bart and Lisa, but you can also buy additional characters and accessories to add to your little Simpsons Lego world.

The pieces help you create the well known Simpsons home, in all it's intricate detail, complete with car, BBQ and removable accessories that you can move around throughout the home.

taking a few hours at a time, this house took us months to build, and really was fun to build from scratch and see it develop into a little piece of lego art that we are proud to have on display in our house.

This may not be to everyone's taste, especially as a pastime for adults. But it really got myself and my partner into the Lego brand, and show how complicated some of these projects can be, and we plan to purchase more.
