Opti-Free Replenish
by Loubielou82
After several years of using Opti Free Xpress solution to clean my contact lenses, my optician suggested that I make the move and start purchasing the Opti Free Replenish solution instead.
This solution does everything that the Opti Free Xpress does, however it does what it says on the tin and works to replenish the moisture ... and the quality of your lenses whilst you sleep. Overall it should enhance the life of the lenses by preventing them from drying out or becoming brittle over the course of a week or fortnight, however long you wear them.
As with other solutions, I remove my lenses and give them a thorough clean with Opti Free Replenish before popping the lenses into a contact lens case, filling each well with solution, and leaving them to soak overnight.
To be honest, I notice very little difference between this and the Opti Free Xpress however I do feel that I am doing the best for my lenses and indeed my eyes by using this solution and would continue to do so. Read the complete review |

Optrex Contact Lens Drops
by Loubielou82
Having tried virtually every dry eye drop on the shelf, I picked up some Optrex Contact Lens Drops in the hope that these would help to soothe my eyes which become increasingly dry as the day goes on. I regularly have to take my contact lenses out to get some relief from the uncomfortable feeling of having something in my eye.
...
I prefer drops which can be put in without me having to take my contact lenses out first and these fitted the bill nicely. They are safe to use and will not damage soft contact lenses, unlike other brands. These are also easy to apply, once you get used to guessing where your eyes are and they do have a nice cool, soothing feeling when they go in. Simply blink, or close the eye for a few seconds to disperse the liquid and they get to work.
I found these reasonably effective and maybe only had to put them in 4 or 5 times a day, which is perfectly safe although a little expensive as the bottle seemed to go down very quickly. They did help with my dry eyes and kept my lenses moisturised for longer than they would have lasted normally. This helps to prevent them tearing too which is important.
Overall I would say these drops are fair, as they do deliver what they claim to deliver, I would just prefer it if the effects lasted for several hours at a time. Read the complete review |

Vital Eyes Contacts Eye Drops
by Loubielou82
purchased some Vital Eyes Eye Drops to help with my dry eye problem which can make my contact lenses dry up and fall out of my eyes after I have been wearing them for several hours. I have tried many brands of eye drops in my attempt to find something which eases the discomfort.
I liked these drops because they were safe to ... use with the lenses in, as opposed to having to remove the lenses, apply the drops then wait a while and put the lenses back in. With these you just pop them in on top of the lens, blink and they get to work. I didn't find that they were overly effective however and whilst they did make my eyes feel better for about 10 minutes after I put them in, I felt that they were gone too quickly and I needed to reapply again very soon thereafter. I believe that this is because they are water based and in humid environments, they simply evaporate.
Overall I did like the feeling of these drops, just wished they would last a little bit longer. Read the complete review |
